We sponsor a number of young people each year to take part in experiences and competitions run locally, regionally and Nationally. These are fun and rewarding with opportunities to make new friends and share experiences with like-minded girls and boys.
We can also provide access to industry professionals for informal career chats, so you can ask questions that may help you when deciding whether certain types of work might suit you.

This offers young people the chance to develop skills in team working, positive leadership skills, communication, problem solving and decision making. It will be run as a series of physical and intellectual activities over a number of days during the summer, in the New Forest.
Think you can prepare, cook and present a three course healthy meal to high standards? This competition runs, locally, regionally then Nationally with trophies and prizes at each stage.
Fancy being a politician? Or just persuasive? This is designed to support and encourage the development of effective communication skills and public speaking. Teams of 3 take part in local, regional and National competitions, in two age groups.
Show off your musical talent and perform on stage. Local, regional and a National competition to find the finest young musician. The categories are either solo instrumental or solo vocal.
Do you understand your camera and how to get the best out of it with stunning shots? If so enter this competition which runs at a local, regional and National level to find the next top photographer.
Can you write with imagination and creativity? This years theme is ‘A different perspective’ and this competition is at local, regional and National levels.
Calling all Design and Technology students and budding engineers. This competition is for teams who have to solve a design and technology task which they know nothing about until the day of the event. They then have to build and test a solution.
Are you in a band and ready to blow our socks off? This is a new competition for youth bands of 3 or more members who will get the chance to perform publicly in a local competition held later in the year.
At this time we are gauging the level of interest in the above events in the Wimborne and surrounding areas and will provide full details and entry forms for those events that go ahead. Most local-level competitions take place in the early part of the year.
